Comfort Zone Camp

Comfort Zone Camp is a non-profit organization established in 1998 serving children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or caregiver. The camps include programs and support groups that work to break the emotional isolation that grieving often brings.

In 2009, Comfort Zone partnered with HeliumStudio to redesign and rebuild their website. Because the audiences were very different, role-based navigation was implemented and features were developed for each specific audience. We implemented Drupal as a content management system and created a custom back-end component so campers could self-register. In addition to the energetic design and dynamic functionality, the new site also offers users useful information about grief and bereavement.
